Between the kitchen and the fields
When Dani founded Casa Amella in his aunt and uncle's garage back in 2002, in Castellterçol, he wanted to share with more people the privilege he had access to: healthy cooking based on local produce grown with care and respect for the land.
The aromatic stews his mother, Carmen, used to make, following the tradition of
grandmother María Josefa, gave Dani an appreciation for home cooking from an early age.
Meanwhile, days spent outdoors with grandfather Isidre, a farmer,
and grandfather Francisco, an animal lover
who enjoyed going out hunting without ever firing a single shot,
taught him where the ingredients on his plate came from
and the importance of caring for the environment.
That's why, for more than twenty years, at Casa Amella we've been committed to
bringing people a healthier, closer and more mindful way of eating, without ever losing sight of our roots and what makes us unique: our home-style recipes made with the fewest possible ingredients.
